Coeur d’Alene Home

The first ALS "smart home" designed exclusively for a family battling ALS was completed in 2017. The idea was that this home would greatly lessen the financial burden, as well as stress for an affected family as they navigate the disease, while keeping the family together. 

We were humbled and overwhelmed by support from the community. We cannot adequately thank the 100 + contractors, businesses and individuals who donated and worked tirelessly to make this dream a reality. We envision this home serving the community for many years to come.

The Goal of Matt’s Place is to provide to ALS families a rent-free, ADA accessible home in place of or while remodeling or replacing their present home which no longer fits their needs.  In doing so, we hope to diminish the financial and emotional stresses which add to their burden.
